Skin rejuvenation with SharpLight systems give a younger, glowing look to your skin. It simultaneously treats the three main elements of sun-damaged, environmentally-polluted and aging skin by coagulating blood vessels, eliminating pigmented spots and improving skin texture. Skin rejuvenation treatments are suitable for the face, neck, chest and hands; treating sun spots, small dilated blood vessels called telangiectasias; and skin textural changes such as small lines and enlarged pores. There are no signs of skin irritation after the treatment. You can even do it over your lunch break.
Neocollagenesis is a process in which new collagen fibers are created under the skin, replacing the damaged ones and filling the spaces where the fibers were destroyed, largely due to environmental factors. SharpLight 580nm and 535nm hand pieces enable this process, letting the skin heal itself and reducing the wrinkles. At the same time, pigmented and vascular lesions are eliminated by selective photothermolysis, in which melanin and hemoglobin are coagulated and necrosis induced. Using a low-energy and short-pulse broadband light, skin imperfections are replaced by a newer and younger looking skin.
Is it safe to do the treatment of skin rejuvenation to persons over 60?
There is no contraindications in relate with age because light therapy is safe and non-invasive.

Basic Principles of Photoepilation using SharpLight SystemsThe method is based on absorption of light by the melanin pigment in the hair follicle. Light energy absorbed in the follicle is transformed to heat which coagulates the follicle. Treatment parameters have to be optimized for each patient skin type, hair color, thickness and density in order to maximize treatment effectiveness and minimize damage to surrounding skin. Only follicles in the active growth phase have enough pigment to absorb the light and reach necrosis temperature.
About Pulsed Light Treatments
What is pulsed light?
Pulsed light system use hand-held flash lamps that emit gentle pulse of light which are absorbed in different skin lesions. Excellent long term results are achieved when treating hair, superficial capillaries, skin pigmentation, acne and other skin lesions.
How does light-based technology work?
Light based technology is based on a method called "selective photothermolysis", which works by selective destruction of a specified target without damaging surround tissue. When treating textural complaints such as fine wrinkles and large pores, the light stimulates the growth of collagen which makes the skin glow and look more youthful.
Are pulsed-light aesthetic treatments painful?
No. During the procedure a slight momentary stinging sensation may felt but not pain.
Are pulsed-light aesthetic treatments safe?
All pulsed-light aesthetic treatments are non-invasive and safe, with minimum side effects.
About hair reduction
What is average rate of hair growth?
About 0.35mm a day, but this varies depending on body area, age and gender.
How many treatments are required?
The typical regimen is 5-7 treatments sessions, spaced 4-12 weeks apart, depending on body area.
Why are multiple treatments necessary?
About 20-25% of human hair follicles on the body are in growth phase at any given time. This is percentage of hair follicles that can be destroyed in a single treatment session. In order to eliminate almost 70% of hair, treatment has to be repeated until the desire result is achieved.
